Vint.ee summer days 2009

Hello, So that people don't just have to sit at the computer and play mind games, but can also meet others face-to-face, Vint.ee is organizing summer days this year as well. The time of the event could be mid-August (15-16.08). The problem is finding a place. We think that these summer days could take place in central Estonia (Jõgeva - Põltsamaa), where everyone has the same long way to get. In this regard, we ask for everyone's help - if anyone has any acquaintances / can recommend a place where there would also be an opportunity to stay overnight, let us know! We should close the place by the beginning of June. To make things more official, Vint.ee has received permission from the Kabeliid to organize the Estonian Championship in hand-holding during the summer days - I think we will organize them in one age group and men and women together. I would also like to hear the opinions of chess and gomoku players - perhaps it would be possible to organize some chess or gomoku tournaments (for example Fischer chess and Pentes?)! The Summer Days would start on Saturday morning with the Tournament(s), and those who wish can stay at the Summer Days until Sunday evening. Waiting for feedback, Vint.ee team
You definitely need to find an opportunity for sports activities. You can't just think all day long, and you need to move. So a place with a sand volleyball court would be great :)
We need to find someone who is competent enough to run it. Apparently, this person should be able to run the tournament in such a way that it is an equal tournament for everyone. It is known that whites have an advantage in pickling. The idea is good in any case! Any volunteers?
I recommend Põlvamaa for the summer. Simply because there are many places to stay here, beautiful nature, peace and quiet, and every smaller holiday destination also has very good conditions for sports. Volleyball and football fields for sure.
Plus, it's easier to get to: PA, otherwise you know that the whole of Estonia is full of such places.
I would personally recommend Kurtna Hotel and Holiday Centre, as I come across this place almost every week. The hotel and holiday centre also have a horse riding centre (Kregleni Ratsu) in the same complex, where I go horse riding myself. The hotel should also have a bench table, but I'm afraid the balls are broken :P (I last came across a bench table a year ago, I don't know the current situation). There is also a lawn where you can play various games. Anyone who wants to can also get acquainted with horses. The place itself is located near Kiisa in Kurtna. More information www.kurtna.com
This place is still relatively close to Tallinn. What do people in Southern Estonia think? Will there be no problems with transportation?
How many people are expected there? Maybe you can choose a place based on that.
Well, if we get 30 people together, that's fine too :)?
posted hello I think we could do 1 competition somewhere near Paide (8-9.08) and 2 competitions in Tallinn (15-16.08)
However, we are talking about the vint.ee summer days. Various tournaments and competitions can be organized within the framework of these days. Organizing it in Tallinn makes no sense, since there is no connection with the summer days. However, we will do it in a beautiful countryside, where you can also do sports and enjoy nature - away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The proximity to Paide would otherwise be quite ideal.
