I think these may be ninuki renju games, since they don't seem like they're renju to me. For example, the second game on page 11 doesn't make sense to me to have a renju diagram for. But, I don't read Japanese or play renju very much. I'd love to know what these positions are, if it is ninuki renju. Ninuki renju is similar to renju, but with captures like in Pente.
