I discovered some time ago that a word game like Boggle has been created in English: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boggle I am interested in crosswords and word games, but I have to say that some of the popular word games, which have also been made into board games, have not been of particular interest to me, e.g. Scrabble has left me rather cold. However, Boggle has aroused more interest and I have also played it in the online version from time to time: http://www.wordtwist.org/ Although I can solve simpler English crosswords to some extent, I constantly get significantly worse results in this online Boggle. Because the word database on which the game is based includes essentially all very little-known words, and it is difficult for a non-English speaker to get a good result there. But the idea is to make a similar game in Estonian. I submitted this proposal to Meikop, because he has already created online crosswords here, and why not add some other word game as well. I am ready to help with compiling the word database needed for the game. And we could also discuss this here as we go, what types of words to include and which not. However, Meikop is still somewhat skeptical at the moment, saying that he doesn't know how popular this Estonian Boggle will be here, that there is no point in making a game for a few individuals, that if there were 50 daily participants, then it would be worth doing. Based on this, he suggested making a corresponding topic here and if it collects at least 50 likes, then it will be done. So if anyone is even slightly interested in the game, then give the likes a thumbs up :) A brief explanation of the rules. The basis is either a 4x4 (16-letter) or 5x5 (25-letter) playing field, which is drawn (in the board game version using dice) anew in each game. The goal is to form as many different words as possible based on the given letters. You can start creating a word from any letter, moving on to the next letter in any of the 8 possible directions of the compass (if the letter is in the middle of the playing field). If the initial letter of the word is in one of the corners, then you can only move to the next letter in 3 directions, and if the letter is on the edge of the playing field, but not in a corner, you can move in 5 possible directions. By moving on to adjacent letters horizontally, vertically or diagonally, you can form words as long as possible, taking into account that a letter that has already been used cannot be used again in the same word. The minimum length of the word must be 3 letters. Here is an example of the word SUPER: http://www.wordtwist.org/ Starting from the southeast corner on the same playing field, you could form NULG. Other Estonian words: PISUT, TULP, PUNT, LUTS, PELG, PELK, KELP (however, KELK is not allowed), ROE, REO, etc. The game takes place within a certain time, e.g. 3 minutes. When the time is up, the points of the competitors are counted. Longer and rarer words earn more points, you can see an example from the Wikipedia article above. All in all, this game would probably be much more exciting for users here than crosswords due to its simplicity, because the differences in level in crosswords are very large and experienced solvers have a huge advantage there. Boggle, however, is based purely on vocabulary, no prior knowledge is required, although in this game too, players with a good linguistic instinct have certain advantages.

The same word game Boggle will be part of a new competitive game involving various tasks "Kökõitetedja" This game is expected to be much simpler, more versatile and more exciting than traditional memory games.

.. and even bigger. I have been playing this game with my relatives for years, usually on a 6x6 field. The only requirements are nouns and in the initial form.
