Sometimes I end up writing really, really long text, but when I want to start sending a text and press enter, the text doesn't appear on the screen, and even after refreshing, it's as if the message has never been sent. Would it be possible to code the maximum possible number of words in private conversations and messages somewhere in the bottom or top corner in relation to the number of words, so that a similar problem doesn't arise? Yes, you can always send shorter messages one after the other, but I personally sometimes have the urge to write really long ones. Then I get really frustrated when nothing appears on the screen after sending.

For the sake of clarity, I'm asking, didn't your session expire in the meantime? I.e. were you still logged in after sending the message?
We use a Text type field in the database (Postgresql), which has no restrictions.
It's possible that there was a symbol in the text that caused the error. So it would be best to get the specific text that failed to save.

I just tested it - I was able to send a text with 2000 words just fine, so the problem is not the length of the text.
I'm constantly logged in with the remember option. But to be honest, I didn't know anything about any specific unreachable symbols if they were the cause of such a mess.

Hello! I want to send a long text again. Can the following punctuation marks or symbols when writing the text prevent the message from being sent: parentheses, square brackets, hyphen, underscore, colon, slash?

It seems that it must still be related to the length of the text.
There is indeed a limit in the chat room - 1000 characters, if I remember correctly. However, when sending a message from your profile - you can send much longer text there.
There should be no restrictions on privacy with a chatbot!

If you log in to Vint and do not use the "Remember me" checkbox, your session length will be 20 minutes.
This does not apply in the game room where the session is automatically extended, but it does apply on all other pages.
If you have a page open where you start writing a long story (in messages, in a forum) and you write that story for more than 20 minutes, the session on the server expires and when you click "save", all the information is lost.
I am now switching to automatic session renewal (every 10 minutes) on certain pages.

This topic used to make me angry too, because you type a lot in one go and then when you "hit up" all the text just disappears! Later I started using the method of making a copy before pressing Enter.
