Hello,
Various apps (Snapchat, Duolingo) use streaks. And from the outside, it seems to work - it gives people extra motivation to visit the app once a day.
Let's try it out also in vint.ee!
I uploaded the top 10 series (both current and the best in history) in the sudoku and crossword space today. I'll test at night whether the series update works correctly and if everything is fine, I'll quietly start adding it to different games.
The idea is simple - to continue the series, you need to play one game during the day (NB! UTC/GMT time zone!) (games with computer and with visitors also count!).
I also want to solve the problem of game room links - probably few people have found various links under the game room (leaderboard, latest games, etc.). I will try to make these links visible now (in the chat room, next to the series).
Any feedback is welcome!

The app was helpful.
Hello,
Streaks are not quite the same as a rating leaderboard.
Ratings show a player's strength, streaks show consistency.
True, today the streaks are grouped by game family: Together are gomoku, Pente, Renju; as well as different types of checkers and chess.
We decided to start this way because there aren't enough players in different game sub-types to measure, for example, the pente streaks separately.
However, this is one way to further develop the streaks: if we see high daily traffic in the Pente room, we can also do a separate streaks calculation for Pente.
Currently, the current top 10 and your own streak is displayed. We saw that this should be enough for now. Or does someone want to know that they are 27th in the streak? The user's goal could be to get into the top 10, and that is the number we are currently displaying.
Since the streaks can also be continued while playing on the computer, the answer is no: the user does not need to have an active rating to continue the streak!

The series now have a new design, I guess it's better!
