It's definitely worth a try for those interested.
Next year's World Cup will also be in China then? There should still be 8 stages based on the information you provided, not 6, as you said at the beginning of the post ;) But it's really cool anyway and I plan to participate! I expect that many of the world's top players and many of the best from different countries will take part in this tournament.
Hello, the next World Championships will indeed take place in China, Beijing. The number of stages seems to be 8. Just over 6 months. There will be 2 competitions each in May and June. The best 6 will count. A lot of participants are expected. I would dare to suggest the total number of participants is somewhere around 500 - but we'll see how it goes. PS: I'll correct the 6 in the first post to 8.
Some dates have been revealed. I updated the first post on this.
Cool, the first stage of the grand prix starts on January 25th. Oh, and a little off topic, but we'll meet next week at Crocos! ;D Hopefully it'll be a good match!
The Sudoku Grand Prix Round 1 competition guide is available. It is definitely worth solving and reading the rules carefully. The guide can be found at the following address: http://sudokucup.com/node/3109
The 1st round points calculation has been published. http://sudokucup.com/node/3126
Assuming that no major changes are made to the results, congratulations to TiiDu!!! ;D Seriously great achievement! Now about my performance. The beginning was promising and 4 sudokus went pretty well, but then I made the wrong choice by deciding to solve sudoku. It didn't go well at all and also went wrong in between and when I finished it was already over (47 minutes over), in total I spent about 1 hour and 50 minutes on it. The goal was to finish among the top 199 in the WPF GP, which didn't quite work out, but it seems like I won't be far from it. Some statistics about the result (I have more, but I'll point out some of the more significant things here). Overall 426th place and 226th place in the WPF GP. Positive too! I posted the answers to 4 sudokus, all of which were correct. Considering only the time spent until the last answer was posted (57:14), 24th place, with only 1 person who spent less time getting more points than me, and this result is very suspicious (I already informed the organizers, you see). As a note, all of the above may change to some extent, because e.g. in the last 3 hours, 5 results have been added to the table, and besides, many WPF GP participants probably haven't registered yet, so to speak, so this ranking is not quite final.
Where do you actually see these results? :)
