Summary information from the main organizer Ardi Tedrema: The first major mind games event in Estonia at Laagri School in Saue parish. On the last day of the Wisdom Month, a mind games match took place at Laagri School in Saue parish on 100 boards. Chess was played on 35 boards, checkers on 30 boards, and gomoku on 35 boards. The match was between students from two schools, Laagri School in Saue parish and Gustav Adolf Gymnasium in Tallinn. Students from grades 1 to 7 took part in the competition. Games were played without time control. Thus, a total of 200 games of mind games were played at Laagri School. The organizers of the competition were Laagri Hobby School (Taigur Tooming), Laagri School (Toomas Artma), Gustav Adolf Gymnasium (Ants Soosõrv, Külliki Kivistik, Kristi Rahn), and Laagri Chess Development and Promotion Center-Club (Ardi Tedrema). All the school students who participated in the event were satisfied with the event. Each participant in the event received a medal commemorating the event as a prize. The first-ever event ended in a competitive draw. Laagri School was better in chess, Gustav Adolfi Gymnasium in gomoku, and a draw was agreed upon in checkers. The organizers hope that such mind game events will also be organized elsewhere throughout Estonia. A start has been made for this.
