Multi-day tournaments in Vind

Hi, the Youth Rendžu World Championship will be held in Vind in August. I just found out that this tournament has a slightly different format: 1) The tournament will take place over 3 days 2) There will be 7 rounds over the three days 3) All rounds have a fixed start time! 4) The time control is 40 min 15 sec (this will be confirmed later). In any case, we don't have such an option at the moment. I'll write down some ideas on how to support this functionality in Vind. 1) When entering a tournament, there will be an option (checkmark) "Multi-day tournament". We don't let everyone organize it. If not, then for an additional fee. 2) If a multi-day tournament is selected, an additional option will appear where you have to set the start time of all rounds (date time). These options are then the number of rounds -1 (the start time of the first round is determined by the start time of the tournament). 3) You need to add different time control options. 4) The tournament room will remain open for all three days! Since there are 8 competition classes planned, there will also be 8 tournaments taking place in parallel. The fourth point also means that we have 8 tournament rooms open in the tournament list over the three days. Maybe we will survive? If anyone has any more ideas, let us know!
Hi, One additional feature that could come with this would be that after the previous round is over, you can already see the opponents for the next round. In competitions like this, this feature is definitely important so you can prepare. (Of course, the computer can do this too, but it would be much easier and more accurate if you could see it right away).
In the "real world", is the next round also drawn immediately after the previous one ends?
In Renju tournaments, yes, but maybe others can tell me about other games.
In Swiss chess tournaments and round robin tournaments, you already know at the beginning of the tournament which round you will play against which player.
Okay, then I'll build all tournaments around this. First, the pairs are drawn, then there's a 30-second break, and then the games begin.
I looked at the code and found that today this "drawing before the round" is too complicated - the draw also starts the game immediately. At the moment, you can look at the tournament table and calculate who your opponent will be in the next round.
Done! Now we just need to test it before the big competition. I'll leave it to Antsu to organize (some multi-day Rendžu tournament in the pipeline) :)
