Over the weekend, the Estonian championships in individual mental sports pentathlon took place in Tallinn, at the Kullo Leisure Centre. As part of the same competition, a three-way competition (chess, gomoku and checkers) was also held yesterday by the Kullo Leisure Centre, MLLM malering and Maleklubi "Areng". 10 competitors took part in the pentathlon (in addition to the above-mentioned disciplines, sudoku and Lines of Action were also planned). Andres Kuusk won with 148 points, Marek Kolk was second with 142 and Kuno Kolk was third with 140. Villem Mesila, who received two defeats (gomoku and sudoku), had to settle for fourth place with 139 points. 50 participants took part in the three-way competition and here he also took first place ahead of Andres Marek, while Kristofer Lõhmus took third place. Andres won chess with 6.5 points out of 7 (2nd Marek with the same result), checkers Marek with 5.5 points out of 6 (2nd Andres with the same result), and Lines of Action's Kuno with 5 points out of 6 (2nd Andres with the same results). I will post the tables and summaries tomorrow.
