Below you can see a picture of the new chess room design.
If today the chessboard is 400x400 pixels on each screen, in the future the size of the chessboard will depend on the size of the screen. The picture shows the chessboard 750x750 pixels (which is currently set to the largest possible board).

It could very well be that by the end of April we will have chess functionality in the new game space!

I propose a few functions for chess

• Preliminaries
• Arrows with the right mouse button to think a few moves ahead
• Button to time the opponent ( 15 sec, unexpected things happen in the meantime)
• Stockfish for both analysis and playing/practicing

You can use crowdsource to add languages, many big projects like lichess, minecraft and Factorio use it. There is an option to add proofreaders who will review and make sure that there are no just gibberish.
To add enthusiasm for translating, you can offer credits or a few days of VIP for a certain amount of translation.

Various free resources for learning, such as chess basics and openings, would definitely increase the number of learners, and I would be interested myself.

Overall, it's a very good idea to make the page more modern, old designs often put people off just by their appearance.

I think a normal (not VIP user) could add 15 seconds to the opponent once, but VIP more. And the question is what are you thinking about a few moves in advance, if you are thinking about something like what the opponent will get after a few moves, then no. Because the tough ones make mistakes too and if you are worse, you don't know these moves.

It's antichess where taking is mandatory, but such situations also arise in regular chess where you logically wouldn't take a pawn instead of a flag for no reason, not that many, but 2-3 moves is completely normal.

Currently, chess, checkers, and othello have been moved to the new platform.
Gomoku and Renju will be added in the coming days, and probably the first card game next week.

Experiment, be sure to try it on mobile and give us feedback - you now have the opportunity to share your thoughts on how to make playing more convenient!

We will now be transferring games to the new platform for the next six months, at some point we will change the order of the links in the menu, so "Games" will start referring to the new space and for some time we will also keep "Games (old)".

And then someday in the beautiful future we can close the old playroom for good!

Could you add to chess that when someone plays certain openings, it says somewhere on the side what opening is being played?

It helps to introduce people who are not in the know and it is not a side help.

The chess player must know what the opening is. Very often, irregular openings are played here, and the computer cannot even name them.
