I'm of course in favor of bridge (but gomoku and memory games sound good too). However, wouldn't it be possible to have a tournament with a so-called corrosively simple bidding system, where at least the opening bids could be defined in advance on paper for those who haven't played much. This would require the organizers to draw up a small system map, from which they could predict the outcome with a finger. And why not have a multi-event with six disciplines instead of five?

The reverse could also come :))

In itself, popularizing bridge in individual multi-player competitions is not a bad thing, if you polish its implementation. I agree to hold a basic training course in Tallinn for those who don't know anything about bridge yet. I think Miira's suggestion about the system card is a very good idea. Ain could have come 3rd in his first game if he had bothered to make the opening move to the square in the contract with 5 clubs and doubles against me and Miira and take the contract :)

This seems like a really good plan, to give the system in advance (that would probably mean Randa) and allow it to be viewed during the bidding. The 6-area plan isn't bad either, especially considering that memory games are especially fun in pairs. I can't imagine actually taking out bridge though - how can anyone consider themselves a master of mind games if the royal area of mind games isn't planned?

I like allever's suggestion that there is no bridge for individual, too many complained about the lack of knowledge of partners. Maybe a memory game or even revers, although I'm afraid that revers will take fewer participants, it's still an unfamiliar area for many, older men are afraid. Bridge could be if there is a mv for pairs. Still, one of the most played areas in mvs so far. Next to chess and checkers. As a consolation to Ain, the hand that ants is probably talking about was also made to me by the opening move from K, the queen of the board took and 11 tricks... The contract was only 4C and no one wanted to make a double either :) I'm doing a little history here now, next week I'll probably get the winners so far, the games that were played at the time, etc. One important person to ask is in Switzerland and he couldn't talk for long.

posted Madison...too many people complained about the partners' lack of skill...
For some reason, this gave rise to a sly thought: in this case, there should be no bridge competition and certainly no individual competition. There is no bridge competition where such whining would not be heard - the charms of doubles. The ability to survive in such conditions also shows something. It is true that I myself repeatedly wanted to bang my head against the wall on Saturday evening, but at the same time: I certainly wouldn't leave the area just because of it.

I tried to be impartial, of course I like bridge a lot more than othello. But some people complained ("many" was perhaps an exaggeration). The idea is that why not have some areas in individual and a little bit different in doubles. Long live bridge!

The new mind games ranking table is headed by the biggest risers Eino Vaher, who rose from 5th place to second, and Tiit Vunk, who rose from 11th place to fourth. Other biggest risers: Rauno Pärnits improved his position by 18 places, rising from 30th to 12th, Mairi Tempel by 17 places, placing 16th, and Anti Alasi by as much as 27 places, reaching 20th position. The ratings are up under the Mind Games Multi-Competition topic (unfortunately, not the best visually to follow).
