In addition to the Vindi Summer Days, there is another event coming up, namely the three-way competition of gomoku-checkers-chess. Time - August 22nd Location - Kullo Karepa camp in Lääne-Virumaa, 10 km from Kunda, 28 km from Rakvere Approximate schedule - 10:00 Opening 10:15 - 12:15 gomoku tournament (so-called color change with 2 rules) 12:30 - 15:30 Russian checkers (lunch in between) 15:45 - 18:00 chess tournament Money: There is no participation fee, accommodation costs 76 kroons per night in cabins and 15 kroons per night per person in tents. Meals are 105 kroons per day, the cost of separate meals is not known at the moment. Registration: Since Karepa has a gomoku/rendžu camp from 18.-25.08., you can arrive earlier and leave later within the camp hours. However, you should preferably express your wish to stay at least ten days in advance by email to [email protected] or send a message to 372 56 69 73 82 (Since I am the chief judge at the Renju World Championships in the Czech Republic from 2.08 to 14.08, I may not be able to answer your calls), otherwise, it is enough to register by 17.08. You can also register in Vint, in addition to your full name and Vint username, you would also need a list of the areas in which you are participating. This is especially important when holding a chess tournament, where we do not have the inventory to take right away. Other: We will set the point system for each area and the prizes later. We are expected to play 9 rounds of Swiss Gomoku and Checkers and 7 rounds of chess, with a time control of 6 minutes per game 2 seconds Fisher per move.

I can be registered for all areas. If possible, I will try to bring the whole camp with me, but that is still being finalized.
Great, Andres, then bring a bunch of people from Tartu too :). You'd probably need to bring 7-8 sets of chess pieces, I can find about the same amount in Kullo, so that should be enough.
Sounds like an incredibly enjoyable event. We really want to compete, but from a learning perspective, I'd like to go with Pliks (marie566).
Of course, stop by, there are a lot of children Marie's age there too.
I'm trying to advertise as much as possible among potential Tartu fans. And I can bring the chess pieces with me, it takes a lot.
Hopefully, Andres and I will move and plan to come for a longer period (maybe even for the entire camp). Mairi and Marie then.
miira said it all with the phrase "it looks like an extremely nice event is coming". I think and hope the same. Please write me down, me and ints6. We will participate in all areas, I would also like to stay overnight in a cabin and I would still like to eat. We are coming from Rakvere and there are 3 free seats in the car.
Glad to hear that! Let's hope that the free seats in the car will also be filled :)
A total of 30 players participated, mostly participants from the Karepa gomoku-renju camp, but we were also delighted by 2 guests from Rakvere - Eino and Indrek Vaher.
