At least they let me play sudoku

But one of the aforementioned browsers can still be installed alongside IE 8. The IE version does not affect the ability to use another browser.
However, in Windows 8 and IE 10, the new game window cannot be used on the Start screen (metro) or the desktop. A message appears stating that the browser is not supported.
In IE10, you will receive an unsupported browser message if "Compatibility View" is enabled/disabled. If you disable it (you can do this by clicking the icon on the right side of the address bar), the correct image should appear.
Then you could add a line between tags or better yet, don't use it, it's prohibited in HTML5
The missing line is meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge"

You can't play Sudoku with Opera anyway, because if you press the number 2, you automatically go to the next table.

During development, I have also tested with Opera repeatedly and have not observed such a thing yet, i.e. Opera should not behave like this with default settings. Have you accidentally modified the settings and turned on such behavior somewhere? Of course, there is also a separate question, how can you enter some numbers into the form in the window if it keeps changing tabs? :)
Last night we fixed a major bug where you could no longer return to the vint2.0 room when refreshing in the final phase of the tournament. We also added a reminder sound when there is less than 15 seconds left in the game. The sound will play once. NB! In the coming days we will also be moving chess to the vint2.0 environment.
