I have heard several suggestions on how to improve the game: blind bidding, crawling, the first bidder could raise their bet if others fold, etc. Everything is possible to implement. Read through http://www.pagat.com/marriage/1000.html and you will see that there can be about 50 improvements. However, for each change, you should think about: 1) Does it make the game more exciting or does it simply change the playing/bidding strategy 2) Does it increase the share of skill or does it increase the share of luck? I remind you that in our case, we are still dealing with a mind sports portal. For example, in the case of blind bidding and crawling, it seems to me that the share of luck increases. But I may not be right - we can argue :) If anyone has specific suggestions, please write them down here in the forum with the reasons (see the two points highlighted). You can like other people's suggestions right here in the forum.

I'll start: Proposal - if a user has less than -150 points, he can no longer bid 1) If some scammer bids 120 all the time and is already at -500, the game becomes too long and prevents others from playing. 2) The share of skill increases - users think through their bids before constantly bidding 120.

The first bidder could raise their bet if the others fold :)

1) the bidding could start at 80, not 60. In the English rules, the starting bid is as high as 100, which is clearly too much, but 60 is still too little; 2) crawling could still be allowed. This does indeed increase the luck factor to some extent, but it makes the game more interesting and requires psychological cunning and analytical thinking from both the crawler and his opponents in certain situations. For example, in situations where even a successful crawl may not guarantee an outplay, players against the crawler need to decide whether to try to take the first trick or not; 3) blind bidding is not in favor, it really only increases the luck factor; 4) raising the bet after the other players "pass" is so-so. On the one hand, it allows the bidder to analyze what the maximum outplay is with his cards, on the other hand, some of the charm of the (poker-like) bidding strategy disappears. The idea arose that an intermediate option could be considered, in which only the player who made a forced bid, immediately followed by "passes" from other players, could raise their bid.

Crawling - If you have one pair (or several pairs) at the beginning of the game and no ace, you can't take a trick to make a trump. To alleviate this problem, there is a variant that all players put a card face down on the table and whoever puts a higher card than yours (this also counts the suit) takes the trick. Here, there is a hope that you can take a trick without having an ace, and this is called "crawling".

Having played a lot of thousand as a child and considering what is happening here, I have to admit that due to the lack of certain elements, this game is not exciting, but simply a game where you stack cards. My suggestions would be the following: 1. Since this game is currently relatively long, the amount of the last bid could be increased to 880, this should also be in the rules. 2. Crawling is definitely essential 3. Also, the option to sell three middle cards, which speeds up the game significantly, since then the number of bets made by 60 will also decrease, since there is a reason to take a risk. And the strategy also changes significantly / you can buy, but you don't have to do it. 4. Also very important is giving away two cards, or I would choose which card to give... this is also part of the strategy.

Cards are also being dealt at the moment and you can see who you are dealing to next to the table.

I did a poll of suggested changes - let's see what changes users want. We'll wait for the responses from 100 users and then we'll see what we do.

I suggest that the game could last for e.g. 500-1000 points (the table creator could choose this?)

In my opinion, you should have 4 nines in your hand before making 1 move, which would also give you a hundred points...and I believe that would also make the game more interesting and to some extent also make the game of thousands shorter. What do you think???
