I would like to raise a discussion on the development trends of vint.ee. There are certainly many users of our portal who have also played on other portals. It would be good to know what has stood out elsewhere: what could be better on the vint.ee portal, what is completely missing, but belongs to a decent gaming portal? In other words: please share your experiences with both the vint.ee team and other users!

As far as I know, the only chess portal that ever offered chess that met international standards was male.ok.ee (by which I mean all the rules, such as en passant and drawing moves, standard time systems, Fischer time system). Currently, there is no such "serious" chess site in the Estonian online space. Vint seems to have taken one step in this direction by adding time control for the move. Therefore, I would recommend creating a chess engine that meets all the requirements and standards and is user-friendly.

In chess, enPassant moves are allowed. Castling rules and pawn exchange also work. Draw detection is not done. Could someone please provide an exact link where I can read about how to detect this draw (it's not a big deal to be a chess player :)). We have taken the view that in checkers and chess, people can agree on a draw themselves, but if users have a specific desire, we can implement draw detection in the game (based on moves).

I don't know if this is the right place to write this, but anyway, I would like it if, either on the home page or on the games page, next to the number of people logged in, there were also the usernames of all those logged in. That way, you can get a better overview of who is where and if there are any friends somewhere who left the game unfinished, etc.

It can be done and it's not difficult at all. I'll add it to my schedule in the near future!

Here it could be like this, if a player leaves in the middle of a game, then they have, for example, three minutes to come back or they lose the game. Because sometimes we can be hit by an internet outage or some kind of computer problem. This is purely my opinion.

I completely agree with Allever that losing with a spread loss is nonsense.....I've had at least 20 such losses myself......that's often the reason why I don't want to play with weaker players often! While the elisa net network is ok, I use Kõu at home and it always throws me off the net.

Has this loss of net in the middle of the game manifested itself in the window "Connection to server lost!" appearing? Or has the game just stuck (the time to run runs to zero and nothing happens)?

The most common thing is that the opponent's time is running out... and at one point it feels like my time to think has run out! Even though it's the opponent's turn.

Does this kind of thing usually happen when you use Kõu internet?
