There is a new game in Vint - Entropia! You can read the rules here: http://www.vint.ee/entropia-reeglid/. It is worth mentioning that this is a relatively new game in the world (the game, created in 2006, was brought to Estonia from the World Mental Sports Championship this year by our national team members - Tiit Vunk and Andres Kuusk). Vint.ee is the first portal in the world that allows you to play this game online!
posted by Meikop There is a new game in Vint - Entropia! You can read the rules here: http://www.vint.ee/entropia-reeglid/. ...as I understood from Fantunes' story, this game took place at a table and Kaos chose the colors...but we have a computer, or did I misunderstand? Or was there someone else there who placed these colors in a random order?..if not, shouldn't there be a choice here too.. Tomorrow is a long 8-hour Entropia tournament, one of the most unique in the entire program. One of the players is Kord, who must try to create symmetry and the other is Kaos, whose goal is to hinder Kord in every way. It all works like this: Kaos places colored balls one by one on the 7¤7 game board (7 different colors, 7 of each; the color of the ball placed on the board is random, Kaos chooses where he places it), then Kord can move one of the balls in the direction of the move of the rook familiar from chess. The shapes formed from the colors, which are exactly the same on both sides (vertically or horizontally), give Kord points according to how many balls the corresponding shape was formed from. The points obtained from all the shapes are added together and this is how Kord's result is determined.

Chaos takes a ball of any color from a bag (randomness). Instead of a bag, we have a computer program that gives a random ball.

Sorry, I am English, so cannot write in Estonian. You say on the main page that "Entropy is a relatively new game". As far as I know its been around since at least 1979. It was played at the first Mind Sports Olympiad in 1997 and has been played at the MSO ever since. Entropy can also be played (not live, turn-based) at www.superdupergames.org. The implementation here at www.vint.ee is excellent. Sorry, I am English, so I cannot write in Estonian. You say on the main page that "entropy is a relatively new game".
