* In fact, it would be great if such an event were organized as a two-day weekend event where players would actually show up. Tournament plans would be made, people would sit at the tables and play cards for two days. I would be there :), but that's it. * If I understand correctly, there is a discussion about whether to count the final rating or the wins. The rating sum of the three games, or the initial idea, is actually completely ok - very specific and easy to keep track of. Certainly not counting the wins, because then I would be playing with opponents with a rating of 700-900, where many do not distinguish between the pot and the ace (a specific example is Vind :)), and I would fill my pockets with wins. * I believe that the most honest thing is to count the change in the rating. This takes away the opportunity to look for weak opponents. Of course you can play, but if you play with opponents with the aforementioned rating level, you will get 3 points for a win, etc. In other words, you play your game and get as many pluses or minuses in the table as your rating changed in that game. * 50 games each should be a good portion after two months. As far as I'm concerned, there could of course be at least 100 games each and a longer period, but it's also important that as many participants as possible take part in the tournament. * A constantly updated tournament table is definitely extremely necessary to keep the players motivated and the value of the entire tournament up. * I wouldn't put real money on the prize table. Decent trophies and free VIP status for the top three. VIP status can also be distributed to even the top ten. I believe that a beautiful winner's trophy and the great honor that comes with the title, plus free VIP status, should be enough motivation. Life has repeatedly shown that sharing real money creates pointless tension between people and that would be the last thing that would be needed between the players here at Vint. * But regardless of the rules that this tournament will be held with, you, dear colleagues, have to finish ahead of me to win the tournament:) Good luck with that!

We want to offer a cash prize to attract people from outside to participate (new users). Vint.ee credit means nothing to them. "Get 200 EUR straight away" is a slogan that people might come to see what's going on. Yes, we can also divide the credit among the top 6 or 10, no problem. With this number of wins, I came to the same problem - You play with the weak and you win quickly. Another problem comes with the change in rating: I create a new user, I let their rating in games reach 1000 (before March) and then within two months I raise the rating in all games to 2000 - amount: 4000 rating points in two months. The original idea (sum of ratings) still seems like the best idea at the moment. The problem is that those who have already played in Vint have an advantage. If you announce the competition at the beginning of February, you essentially have 3 months to raise your rating. We may also extend the competition period (until the end of May). What do others think?

So, for all tournament participants, special new users for the tournament. "Player 1", "Player 2", etc., all with a rating of 1400 in all games, 50 games each and ratings combined.

I have already expressed my opinion a few times, and I would not like to repeat myself. * Organizing a tournament based on coefficients/ratings, etc. is of dubious value. The problem with the current fint rating is the large standard deviation (or instability). For example, it is larger than 120 in a thousand (calculating the exact value is cumbersome due to the rounding when dividing by 36). Thus, it could be stated [under certain reasonable assumptions, the two-sigma rule applies] that the rating of a player whose "level" is R fluctuates in 95% of cases between R-240...R 240. In the remaining 5% of cases, his rating differs from the "actual level" by more than 240. * If you use the current rating to evaluate the tournament, then the final spurt becomes very important -- you have to raise your rating high and then stop playing to maintain the rating. A bit of strange behavior to win the tournament. * I have shared my thoughts on tournament thousand/tournament pocket/tournament bismarck in another post. I am definitely in favor of using duplicated handouts for competitive purposes.

At the end of the tournament, those users who are in the ranking, i.e. have played a game in the last two weeks, will be taken into account. This could be changed by itself - you must have played one game in each game in the last three days, etc. You can read more about the Vint.ee rating system here: http://www.vint.ee/lauamangude-reitingusysteem/ This system also applies to card games. In Tuhandes and Bismarck, the winner "wins" 2nd and 3rd places, in Saskus both users of the winning pair win the losers, in 4-person peredkidnois the 1st place wins twice the last one and the 2nd place wins 3rd place.

Of course, you can invent a new rating system or add complexity to the existing one. What does that change? It will only make things more difficult for an honest player. If I don't manage to play all the games on the last day, will my score not count? In general, it is not particularly difficult to organize another game for yourself after the start of the final sprint, but just before the finish, with friendly opponents who will not harm the rating, if the tournament rules require it.

So, a button will appear on the page to register for the tournament. By clicking the button, you agree that your ratings will be reset on March 1st, meaning that all participants will start with 1400 points in the games that are part of the tournament schedule. On the evening of March 31st, the competition will be closed and all ratings will be added up. Play one game or a million games, play all games on the first or last day, play with anyone, the conditions are the same for everyone. Period.

The conditions are *almost* the same, as VIP players can create an unlimited number of tables, while regular players cannot. But of course, anyone can get VIP access.

You should definitely take up sasku, because it's the most interesting of the card games. And there's over a month to practice.
