Hello, Two questions need clarification: 1) Why can you play cards on the mental sports portal 2) Why is playing card games limited (VIP users can play unlimitedly and you have to pay for it / support the development of the vint.ee portal). Nails P**** The year was 2008 when you could play various board games (checkers, chess, gomoku) on vint. The question arose of how to invite people from vint who were not involved in mental sports. A relatively crazy idea came to mind - to make a vint card game Nails. It was a game that many knew and it also offered challenges in terms of development (the game is inherently different from board games). There was hope that this card game would attract new people to vint and that new users would also get acquainted with mental sports. The game was an unprecedented success, with new users coming every day. However, what went wrong with the plan was that new users did not start learning chess/checkers but stayed with card games. And what's worse - some users who had previously practiced mental sports also turned to playing cards. Nails is the most illogical game on this portal in this regard - the share of luck is well over 50%. Thinking in card games After the huge success of Nails, we decided to bring more games to Vinti that cannot be played elsewhere but have been popular among the people for decades. This is how Vinti podkidnoi and 4-kesi perekidnoi came about. These games require more thinking, more specifically a good memory and the ability to think through possible combinations of moves in the end game. I even dare to compare these games to poker - in the long run, the more skillful ones are successful, basically anyone can win a tournament. I speak from my own experience, I have been at the top of the leaderboard in all card games. Maybe I should start playing poker too :) In conclusion - it seemed that these games are suitable for Vinti. The fateful year of 2015 Next came Vinti Bismarck and Tuhat, and what we didn't want to see happened - in 2015, more cards were played on Vinti than classic mind games. In other words, we were losing our identity. Many users just go here to play cards, without putting their thinking into practice. Do we want to be just an entertainment portal or focus on mind games, on ensuring that our users develop their memory/logical thinking while playing here? Looking for compromises In 2016, we brought Vinti Sasku and tournaments for all kinds of card games. Everything seemed great - lots of new users came, the card game rooms were full of people, dozens of card game tournaments were held every day. But there were also negative developments - the number of checkers/chess players began to decline rapidly. Different thoughts arose - should we move card games to a separate portal? For some reason, I don't think these two separate portals would last very long. On the other hand, the enthusiasm of the vint.ee developers began to dry up - it's exciting to develop an increasingly popular portal. But if you do it for 10 years in a row, on top of your family and main job, the excitement inevitably starts to fade. We came to a compromise - we will set limits for card games and hope that vint.ee fans (VIP users) will understand that sometimes you can pay for good entertainment: to support the portal developers so that the portal remains operational and exciting games are added in the future. We also thought about users who cannot afford to buy VIP status: since our next project is crosswords (we will again do something that has not been done elsewhere, such as online crossword duels and tournaments), we offered a solution that users would help us compile a crossword question-answer database, receiving vint.ee credits in return. Any 14-year-old could already be able to find a solved crossword puzzle and then enter the questions and answers into our system. The first two months have been more positive than expected, the changes have been accepted by many. We also let everyone know that the summer months are coming, which will differ from the winter months in terms of user activity by at least two times. We can draw final conclusions at the end of the year. We thank our users for their understanding and hope for continued good cooperation in the future!

People don't really want to pay for anything online, including myself. However, for example, you go to the Old Town of Tallinn, have a beer -- it costs ~6.50€ or eat out once. In this context, this 6€ or 6.50€ for entertainment could be a fairly small amount and it's not a one-time thing.
In Latvia, a bottle of good beer costs 50 - 69 cents and half a liter of 40% vodka costs 4.27 euros.

Yes, I completely agree with you. that paying for VIP status for a month is not a high price. There are many more expensive entertainment options. But there are nuances in the game that need to be fixed so that users still want to play here as VIPs. Currently I see several contradictions and users are complaining. VIP status doesn't matter anymore. You can make a table and you can also make tournaments and you can also play as much as you can...but...that's it now. There's no one to play with. (I only play card games and I don't know everything either) I make a table but there are no players, because many have already run out of daily limits. What's the use of VIP if you still can't play. Five years ago, I spent a lot of time in the casino and played games...now I only go once and haven't played for several days. Meikop, what do you think, hasn't something gone wrong here now. There wasn't such a grumbling before than now.
Interesting, I've observed the same thing myself and I can say that every night between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM there is a game going on in all the card rooms. Tell me more specifically which game and at what times it is difficult to get a full table of people together. Otherwise, there's nothing to be gained from your story.
More specifically.. I've basically tried to make four tables..the time is arbitrary (whenever I have time). Usually somewhere around eight o'clock in the evening. There are people in the game room but no one is sitting at the table. Basically, I've made a table of 1500 but I can't get enough players. There can be one table, but it's very difficult to get another table. There was a time when there were three to six tables in the 4th game room and then there were still people wanting to play. And not to mention some tournaments... many tournaments are simply canceled because they can't get enough players. I haven't entered any more tournaments myself, I don't see the point. (I'm thinking of nail tournaments)
Even in chess, it's hard to find players sometimes. I haven't bothered to wait in the thousands because the table isn't full. I've even waited for 15-20 minutes in the evening and then given up. By the way, one question: how have these tournaments with a big entry fee that were advertised with such great fanfare gotten off the ground? Meikop once said that tournaments with a huge entry fee are held every day. For example, are there any statistics on how many of these tournaments took place last month and in what games?
Tournament search is very useful for such statistics. According to it, two paid tournaments took place in May.. June has been calmer so far. http://www.vint.ee/turniiride-otsing/?type=0-0&tournament_type=0&start_time=&end_time=&organizer=&winner=&participant=&participation_fee=2&btnSearch=Search
