Gentlemen's Club

Lieutenant Rzhevsky comes from London and tells his friends that he won a thousand pounds in a card game at the Gentlemen's Club there. "How did you manage that?" his friends wonder. "Well," explains Rzhevsky, "we're playing, I mean, twenty-one. Suddenly a gentleman says he's got twenty-one. I say show him. Against him, that this is a Gentlemen's Club and that people trust each other here. After that, of course, I always had twenty-one in my hand!"
