Boredom does great things.

Two English gentlemen are bored on board a ship sailing across the Atlantic. “It’s boring,” yawns one. “How about playing a game of cards to pass the time?” “Maybe,” replies the other. “It’s true, the last time I held a card in my hand was more than ten years ago.” “That’s nothing, I haven’t played cards for more than twenty years. Steward, please bring a deck of cards!” The steward brings the cards. One gentleman weighs the deck of cards on the table and says: “I think there’s one card missing here...” The other takes the deck in his hand, flips it over in his palm and clarifies: “You’re right. The lady is missing.”
