Hello, Tiit Vunk won the bronze medal at the 13th World Sudoku Championship held in Prague from November 4th to 6th. The four best competitors from the ten solving rounds held over two days advanced to the super final. Tiit, who won silver at last year's World Championship, started the final in second position behind the defending champion Kota Morinishi from Japan and ahead of Bastien Vial-Jaime from France. Five sudokus had to be solved in the super final. In the difficult and even final, Tiit became the leader after the third sudoku, but by the end of the fourth sudoku, the Japanese and the Frenchman were just ahead of him. None of the competitors managed to solve the fifth or final sudoku within the time limit, although Tiit was the closest to the final solution. Thus, the score became decisive after the fourth sudoku, and according to this, Morinishi became the world champion again, Vial-Jaime came in second and Tiit Vunk came in third. In the team standings, the Estonian team was 13th. In addition to Tiidu, the team also included Villem Mesila, Anna-Brigita Topkin, Tauri Purk and captain Jaanus Laidna. In total, 248 sudoku fanatics from more than 30 countries took part in the World Championship!
