Extra credit in the checkers game..

1 idea: In checkers tournaments, players could get extra points (credits) for blocking, according to the number of buttons blocked. Why not 1 credit for each button. In my opinion, this would stimulate more accurate play and would also be a small additional incentive for already good players :) . For those who don't know/remember this term very well, in the vernacular it was called a nusniku in the old days. Somewhere in the checkers book, examples are even given of "blocking" 7 or more buttons. It could create extra excitement!? :) .
I have a more powerful suggestion than Rabal: if only kings remain on the board at the end of the chess control period, then 3 points could be awarded instead of a draw :)
Just kidding, as always with the forest, because we were talking about checkers! But the topic of 3 points could be relevant when playing with black or white with a certain time control; in the sense that for a win with black you get 3 points, with white you get 2 points, and in the case of a draw, black gets 2 points, white gets 1 point. These systems used in the world should have been introduced to us a long time ago. Forest, why are you making stupid jokes about a good idea again! Are you jealous??
It's still unbelievable how some players vote on principle and without using their brains, simply against things they don't understand!! In such cases, I really wonder who participates on this site and whether everyone still has their minds on the ground or should they seek help! If there are no contacts with locking in checkers, then it would be worth keeping your primitiveness somewhere completely separate, where no one would understand your incompetence!
The rules of chess are changed by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) congress, the rules of checkers are probably changed by the International Checkers Federation. Vint can't change them, rabapalm, you should contact the International Checkers Federation with your interesting proposal (you know English, because your English teacher was ONU UNO)
Well, I'll try to express myself better!! These proposed extra points or credits are not reflected in any way in the rating or tournament calculations, but are still intended purely from the point of view of developing the game (Russian checkers!) and making nusniks could be included in the mandatory Russian checkers curriculum!! The points I'm talking about in the proposal would simply be an incentive to play more beautiful checkers and when a certain number of such points are collected, Vint could offer a bonus, but not in terms of table points of course!
rababalm then transfer the money that can be offered as credit to Vint (make a targeted grant)
Who talked about money here! Does a bird's credit have monetary value?! You can buy it, but not sell it. And there's no point in worrying about the so-called lost income, the Forest will bankrupt the bird anyway; when was the last time you bought credit, you don't need to worry about where those few extra cents will come from! Come up with an idea yourself sometime that's worth discussing, anyone can demolish it!
If we get credit, we can combine the nusnik instead of surrendering.
Having played checkers for decades, I have never encountered such a thing as blocking. I assume you mean pinning. As a player, I say that it only ruins the game itself.
