Hi, Until today, Vind used truncated Buhholz (opponents' points minus the worst opponent). Yes, the name was median-buhholz, which was actually misleading. In the case of median, the best opponent should also have been removed. In connection with the European Youth Checkers Championship (which will take place in Vind in August), we improved the coefficient system: from today, Full Truncated Buhholz is used. This is the FMJD official recommendation as an additional criterion. That is, if the points in the tournament are equal, the pure Buhholz is looked at first, if it is also equal, the worst result is removed and the sum is compared. If it is also equal, the two worst results are removed and so on. If all opponents have the same points, the rating is taken into account as an additional criterion. Since there is exactly one month until the big competitions, I would like to encourage our users to use the Buhholz coefficient in the tournaments they create (currently it is still visible as median-Buhholz when entering tournaments, but I will change this in the near future). This way we can test the new system.
