Hello,
From today, it is possible to hold micro matches in checkers!
A micromatch is a single game consisting of two games - both players play through with both colors.
Why?
We will soon introduce Russian checkers with draw openings. It seems that the world of checkers (at least in the case of Russian checkers) is moving towards draw openings - world (and already Estonian) championships are held in this format. And in Russian checkers with draw openings, micro matches are played. During one game, both players must play the same opening with white.
And so we brought the micro-match format to life.
Although micromatches are currently only available in checkers, it would be relatively easy for us to bring this format to chess as well. Would chess players be interested in this ? It is known that in chess, white has a slight advantage, so when compared to each other, would it be fair for both players to play through with both colors?
To clarify, the regular game format will still remain - the micromatch is simply an additional format.
And in other games? Gomoku, Othello? Entropy, for example, has been a micromachine since the beginning.
In theory, the micromatch format could also be brought to nails and podkidnois, but I don't know how much sense that would make.
PS! We are currently in testing and micromatching can only be selected in the invite window. If everything works, we will add this option to the game board creation.
