The title seemed difficult to express at first, so I'll explain it simply.
I've heard that there is a desire to bring back the sudoku functionality from the previous design of the puzzle, where you could mark so-called intermediate answers in the boxes while solving, just like you usually do with paper sudoku puzzles.
This means that if there is a row or column or box or diagonal where there is a situation where two or more numbers can be placed in one cell, but at the moment it is not possible to logically conclude which cells the numbers go in and in which order, then all possible variants can be marked in them using the old "pencil" function.
