Vint.ee Summer Days 2009 were a success: people are demanding more:) So I'll talk a little about my vision of what Vint.ee user gatherings could look like. 1) In any case, there should be some official tournament (EMV) that is not otherwise organized in Estonia. Here, we could brainstorm. At first glance, I would suggest: Checkers, Fischer chess, Three Lights, Pente, Reversi, English checkers. Official tournaments can only be organized in cooperation with the game's sub-association. There will be no problems with Checkers and Gomoku, but in order to organize EMV Fischer chess, we should start cooperating with the Chess Association. I think I'll talk to someone from the Chess Association about this. 2) The events will take place in Central Estonia (Jõgeva County, Järva County, Viljandimaa, etc.). Goal: So that everyone can travel to the country. 3) The event would always last at least two days (one night), so that those who traveled from further afield could rest ;-) ... and so that everyone could wash themselves clean in the sauna :P 4) The cost of the event per person would be approximately 400EEK (including accommodation, sauna and food). This number is based on the summer days that just took place. Although 25 people came, we still ended up with a loss of about 1000 kroons. BUT FORTUNATELY, there are still Vint.ee supporters, thanks to whom we haven't gone bankrupt yet and we were able to pay the difference :) 5) Now we should decide: How many times a year should Vint.ee users get together? This number directly depends on the tournaments organized: Different people definitely gather for Checkers, Chess and Gomoku competitions, so you could even think about four gatherings a year. I suggest: * Summer days (end of August) - Reverse checkers * Autumn days (end of November) - Pente * Winter days (end of February) - English checkers * Spring days (end of May) - Fischer chess What do you think?

The thing about pente is that there are competitions on this topic, but not Estonian Championships, as far as I know. Rendžu Tallinn Open should have pente this time (if I understand things correctly). As far as I know, there are no competitions in reversi - at the same time, I personally do not have any information about the reversi sub-union. To organize them, such an adequate organization is needed. Perhaps the Mind Games Association is capable of replacing this organization competently enough. However, the above opinion is purely personal. A 4-row tournament could be organized in the same way, but hasn't this game been solved - in other words, I doubt the necessity of organizing this game in Estonians. The thing that still speaks in favor of reversi is that another type of game would be covered (Makes this whole cycle of meetings more interesting). At the same time, if it were to replace pente, then the other type would disappear again - which is why reversi would not be justified if it were to replace pente. I wouldn't want to replace English checkers either, because apparently this game would have the most people interested (Again, purely personal opinion). And secondly, English checkers is quite popular in the world. This is a good opportunity to bring the game to Estonia even more than vint.ee has been able to do so far:) In short, it's hard to offer anything specific. The option proposed by Meikop is quite acceptable. The main thing is that organizing with such density doesn't become too dense. People will start to think that it's too often and won't bother to come very much, and then the most popular so-called summer day gatherings will still arise. Maybe limit it to summer and winter days. I guess I got enough food for thought... Shoot now!

I'm shooting opinions. The reunion could be 4x a year. Think about how many people are in the club. Not everyone will definitely come, but you'd see new people every time. And then of course the die-hard fans would see each other more often. Personally, I wouldn't be too discouraged if the reunions were held twice a year, because I know one place where unofficial gatherings take place. With gomoku tournaments! [But 4 times would be better!] The program could include reverse checkers, pente and reversi. I'm not sure about the fourth part, because chess doesn't seem appealing (how many daily chess players were there in Mokko?) - more like English checkers, but then there would be checkers several times. Reverse checkers is also checkers. The price is suitable if it includes everything you need. Food, beds, bed linen, sauna and electricity. Mimm@entusiastlik [email protected]/nõus

Four times is perfectly fine, because the last event was very popular :-) The main thing is that enough people come together. In the off-season, you should be able to find a place a little cheaper than in the summer. As for games, since I don't really play anything else besides checkers (of any kind), I'm on the side of checkers with both hands. However, I can always be a judge for other games.

I would be a little skeptical about 4 times. People start to think, oh, I don't feel like it this time, I'll be there again soon (not that I personally wouldn't be there every time). But 2 times a year could really be it. In terms of tournaments, the first priority could be English Chapel - it's an internationally recognized and popular game, and the Estonian champion could also represent Estonia at the next Mind Sports Games, for example.

You never get good things often or in large quantities, but good things themselves run out quickly. Usually, the first option that comes out is the best. If things went so well and there are tournaments with different competitors, it probably isn't the best, dear friends, to move forward step by step, so that one becomes only two. Let's try with four, otherwise we'll be our own brakes later. After all, no one would want to think in the future that the only mistake was why we didn't do all this earlier. And at the same time, if it does happen - someone goes wrong. They can fix it pretty soon, there's no need to wait half a year. And also, dear friends, it would be nice if the names of the gatherings harmonized with what is happening in nature, and not according to the astronomical calendar. Autumn - it's a fall of leaves, the first gray on the ground, but not so that all the beauty that adorned nature disappeared. End of November - possible rain and mud, a biting, harsh wind, but possible snow and 17 degrees below zero.

There could be 3-5 gatherings a year, I would be happy to go every time. I would prefer reverse checkers, vv gomoku, reverse, and since I think many people don't know chess, the 4th could be regular checkers, but then there would be checkers twice, but it could attract more checkers fans to the event and there would be no problem with whether the event would be paid for, etc.

The next event is Vinti's 3rd birthday. Be there!

Is there any information about this anywhere?
