Mindoku could also have a Facebook page, Mindoku could have a HOMEPAGE, and more games could be added. (just suggestions)
Who even manages this page that nothing has been done?
This site is still very empty, the white background is suspicious, but most importantly, it seems that it has no visitors or users! At the time of writing this post, there are a total of 2 people in the seven game rooms, 1 of whom is a visitor, e.g. the top 10s for sudoku and gomoku are actually the top 2s and most of the people in the top are those who are also users on this site, i.e. Estonians. The Checkers, Chess and Connect-4 tops are empty. The most popular seems to be Entropy, which has 8 people in its top -- wowow, Othello has 4 people in its top. It gives the impression that this is some kind of beta-stage site for testing games or something.
And I don't understand where these rules are, there are not even many people there and the profile is boring. Boring site and there are never many people there. 1 person or 2 together or 1 person and a news reporter. I don't know, I don't like it. :(
And everyone there has a rating of 1456 or 1400-1500. Not the strongest ones, with 1900-2000 points.
It's a completely different place, there's no one to play chess or checkers with there. (Some guys had once gotten into the chess table there, but they were kicked out.) I say you'd better go to the Jõgeva checkers club and play chess, checkers and other games across Europe. There are so many opponents, of all levels. But Mindoku is now a lonely corner, a place for the marginalized, I guess, you can pass alone inside..
This criticism is not true in itself, but: * Mindoku was only opened a few months ago and is really only in the early stages of development. Hence the "emptiness". * Since we haven't started serious marketing yet, there aren't many people there either. In order to get people there, you first have to inform a lot of people. They won't get there themselves. Criticism is welcome, but let it be constructive criticism. Knowing that someone thinks "Mindoku is scum" doesn't mean we can do anything. We have a lot of plans and this page is developing. Vint was pretty empty at the beginning too ;)
You (vint) have been suggested before, but you thought that people would come, but they don't, hold chess tournaments and checkers tournaments in Mindoku, maybe Fischer's, to give different levels different thinking time, etc. The same system for chess and checkers. Also some 5 0 and 10 0, I wish Vint had official tournaments, only emptiness... You don't listen to anyone there, there's no point in suggesting, you just do as you please, it's your child's Mindoku. I would rather play in Mindoku than on the Polish site, they would only come to Mindoku...
Tournaments are already taking place there. Users can also organize tournaments themselves. The thing with recommendations is that we can choose the most popular ones from a large flood of recommendations and then we have to think about how to do it exactly. It is simply not possible or even reasonable to listen to all recommendations. The thing with recommendations is that they are very often too general/vague or they do not fit into the existing system in any way. Therefore, before making a recommendation, you should also think about what exactly, how and where. This is not about anyone in particular, but just a general thing.
There was also emptiness on Facebook at first, no one knows that time - logical in itself. At first, all the places are empty. At first, the club was completely empty for about a year - only we went to play and a few friends. But you have to wait, life also comes into play. You shouldn't overestimate your own recommendations, most of the recommendations that have come have probably been thought out and added here as a first emotion - everything that is here, however, has been thought out quite thoroughly - and many things have come from user recommendations, by the way. You just need to think about it a bit before doing it. It's not such an easy and quick process either.
