I personally like the group here and the names are perfectly suitable for playing the game. The more exciting the names, the more interesting. If someone wants an exact name and maybe even get together to exchange business cards, they can ask. As for scores, names don't matter. People are still there, and sometimes a virtual name is exactly what you want to keep flawless and successful in the virtual world. A real name and knowing it doesn't give you any advantage in winning the game. Sometimes the internet's response speed gives you an advantage. Those who have had a name for years are probably proud of their name, with its good and bad sides, just like in normal life. Newcomers are still forming their own character. Those who change their names don't have their own characteristic features and it's therefore difficult to guess anything about them. They are just guests in the club, like characterless newcomers. However, those who have already formed their own opinion of each other and know how to evaluate these features want to play with each other. This gives the players, at the expense of past events, a pleasant cognitive side. Whether they like each other or not. Both outcomes are suitable for a good game. It's still good to communicate with acquaintances and in general they know each other.
Let the name still be protected from the public :/

Currently, the tournament tables of mind games have usernames and people's real names mixed up, what's the point of that? First of all, it's not a pretty sight, secondly, it causes confusion because at least at the moment not everyone has their real name in their profile, i.e. they do have a name, but some just have a fake name/first name. Thirdly, I personally wouldn't want my name to be directly visible in these tables, whoever wants it should look specifically at their profile or something. Disclosing names is a pretty pointless activity, if you want to create a transparent system, then you would also need to authenticate people in some way (ID card? - not suitable). Would disclosing names prevent cheating? Probably not, in the case of Mougli, the person was known to you for a long time, but the final truth still came out from the fact that users went to the surface and saw that the activity they were engaged in was suspicious. We cannot assume that if a user has told the Vindi team their name, then they are automatically clean. "If you want to remain anonymous, don't try to get to the top of the leaderboard :)" I wouldn't lie to get ahead, but it doesn't sound good and seems like a strange idea. You could lose players that way, I know a few people here at Vind who want to be anonymous, even though they are good at several types of games and are in the TOP-10. For example, if the majority of people were in favor of it, it would be unfair to those who don't support it. Authentication with an ID card can be done like in Hinnaatlus, the user's data is not shown, but there is a sign that the user has authenticated with an ID card, maybe it gives some people some security here, but there are still opportunities for lying and cheating. There aren't many people here at Vind anyway, just look at Checkers, there are some strong players, but you have to look for them with a matchstick, I would ask them why they don't want to play here?
I have to agree with 30 in general. And I've also thought it's a little strange that the post-tournament rankings have a mix of real and username players. I assume it's because it's an inter-school tournament, but maybe there's an alternative to that...
Why can't the content of the post be changed? The current situation could be resolved so that an ID card can be used for identification (pseudonymy, where the person is known to the portal creators), this should be a one-time action. Why? To make your user more reliable the reliability of the portal? Remove people's real names from the tables, currently they are available even without logging in. I don't think everyone would want their names from the game portal tables to be visible to the search engine.
I made a change - the names are only visible in the table for school tournaments.
I like that idea! I would like to know the names of some checkers players.jack
Meikop, as an administrator, you have the ability to check whether the same person is playing under multiple usernames - I have this suspicion.
