That is: If you win the bid but you do not have an ace to take the first trick with, then when you go, you lay out any card, put it face down on the table. Similarly, the other two players also lay an upside down card on the table. Finally, the cards are turned over the right way up and it is checked whether the opponents placed a card of the same suit as the one you laid out on the table.
