Mind Games Olympiad 2025/2026 - Checkers Results

Hello!

The Mental Sports Olympiad is over for this year, so it's time to announce the checkers results.

This year, 581 students from 56 schools played checkers.

Primary school results
305 students played checkers at the elementary school level.
The winner was Stanislav Ushkov from Loo Kool, who won three stages and collected 300 points.
Second place went to Adeele Kask from Rannu School with 290 points, and third place went to Luis Lehto from Tartu Kesklinna School with 276 points.

In the school category, Rannu School defended its victory from last year.

Elementary school results
255 students from 42 schools participated in the elementary school checkers tournaments.
The winner was Martin Zaplatin from Tallinn Pääsküla School with 292 points. Second place went to Elisabeth Valdmann from Jüri School with 287 points.
Kevin Kurik from Tallinn Pääsküla School came in third with 278 points.

In the school category , Tallinn Pääsküla School won again in this age group.

High school results
At the high school level, 21 students from 8 schools played checkers.
Priit Lokotar from Saue State Gymnasium took the overall victory with four tournament wins, Emilia Kello from Rae Gymnasium came in second (285 points), and Oskar Treffner from Tallinn Science School came in third (276 points).

Saaremaa Gymnasium won the school category again this year.

Congratulations to the best and thank you to everyone for participating! Named medals and trophies will be delivered to schools no later than May.
