The 18th World Logic Championship took place in Antalya, Turkey, from 3 to 8 November.

On November 3-8, 2009, approximately 100 puzzle solvers from about 25 countries gathered for the 18th World Logic Championship (23 countries had entered a 4-member team, some competitors represented their country alone). The calculation took place both individually and as a team. The world champion title was won again by the German Urlich Voigt, who has already accumulated quite a few of these titles. In the team competition, the best was the German team, which confidently defeated the US team in the final. The best Estonian was Aivar Pardla in 35th place. Tiit Vunk followed - 50th place; Rauno Pärnits - 56th place; Allar Padari - 79th place. In the team competition, Estonia achieved 18th place. In addition to the main competition, separate competitions were also held in Karala and Sudoku. Karala is known in Estonia as a Japanese puzzle - coloring a grid by numbers. The top eight from both competitions made it to the finals. Tiit Vunk managed to get the second best time from Estonians in Sudoku. The final continued in a tournament system. Unfortunately, he had to bow to his first opponent - thus 5-8 places in the Sudoku Cup.

In a tournament system? This should be the same as a round robin system, meaning that all competitors are played once. If it was a quarter-final, semi-final, and final, then it should be a play-off system, or the Olympic system. But of course, this is more of a guessing game, which is not very important in this case. So who advanced to the final round with the first time, T. Snyder?

I can't say anything about that. It's possible that it's not shared with everyone, it's possible that some time is available. It's not like we researched it, because we were given all the tasks, which we did.

There are no such tasks online, Kuma publishes a special edition of the Sudoku World Championship puzzles every year.

I'll answer the question posed again. The 4th "Iron Logic" contains some MM tasks. If you're interested in seeing what kind of tasks could be found there, it's worth getting it for yourself. However, there were many more of these types of tasks, but it would be a lot to fit them all into one magazine :)
