Links and copying

Why can't I post links again, or copy text from a video or copy text from somewhere else for someone?

I've even noticed that you can't copy text into or out of a private chat window, which is a bit annoying. To avoid this drawback, I've used a private message once (I copied the text into the message), but it would be better if copying was possible everywhere ;)

The problem is that Oracle disabled this option in Java version 6 update 24. More information about this can be found here: http://thebellringers.blogspot.com/2011/03/java-update-breaks-chat-room-copypaste.html. There are several solutions to the problem: 1) Install Java version 6 update 23 on your computer 2) Wait until Oracle releases a new version with this fixed (this may not happen) 3) Use a solution I discovered: Firefox allows you to DRAG URLs and highlighted text: You select the text and drag it into the chat room. This way I can paste everything there. I haven't found a way to copy from the chat room.
