Some of our users want to participate in paid chess tournaments online (where the winners would also receive cash prizes, etc.). We were also approached with this request, and I will write how I imagine it: *Tournaments would take place at a different time compared to Vindi's free online tournaments. I suggest Sunday morning. *To participate in the tournament, the participation fee must be transferred to Vindi's bank account within a week (before the tournament). The bank transfer note must include the Vindi username who wishes to participate in the tournament. *Tournaments would take place in the Swiss system (the same system as currently used in Vindi tournaments) and with a time control of 3 min / game (to reduce the possibility of using the computer). *Vint.ee is not responsible for the operation of the tournament participant's computer, the stability of the Internet connection, etc. We recommend that you try playing in both gaming rooms and free tournaments before participating in paid tournaments. If no problems occur, they should most likely not occur in paid tournaments either. Let us know who thinks what and how many people would be interested.

I'm all for it and I'll definitely take part!

Hi! That's a pretty good idea. I haven't played in a while, but I think I would participate. Of course, yes, it depends on how honestly they turn out, the possibility of using a computer, etc. But 3 minutes should be a time when it is difficult to use a computer, but not impossible. Good luck anyway!

A very good idea! But as VMS says - let's beware of computer users!

The idea is not bad, but computer users are a problem (if the game is for money) and therefore organizing tournaments longer than 3 minutes is quite a risky endeavor. To KalfanY: in chess you can't castling if you have previously moved with the king or the rook :))

Well, the table could be better (not messy).. but I don't see anything wrong with organizing these tournaments if there are enough people who want and are interested.. And you can't demand a perfect system right from the start. It will take a while before proper tournaments can take place, but if you don't start, then you won't get anything done, right?

The only computer-safe option would be 1 min. If it's longer, doubts and hesitations about using the program will begin to arise.

That's exactly what I was thinking here and I completely agree, because someone can use two computers and two heads and then it becomes pointless.

It seems that chess players' great interest in paid tournaments has significantly diminished?
