Two mule cars meet on a narrow bridge. Neither wants to back up and pass the other, so as not to waste fuel. One of the drivers starts reading a newspaper, hoping that the other will give in and drive the car off the bridge. The other driver gets out, sits on the hood, and says, “If you’ve read the newspaper, please lend it to me so I can do the crossword puzzle.”
