Organizing VIP Freerolls in other games

It seems that organizing Freerolls only in arcade games is not right. Vint.ee wants to be a mind sports portal, not a card game portal. I propose to hold VIP Freerolls: Monday - Fischer Chess Tuesday - Chess Wednesday - Russian Checkers Thursday - VV Gomoku Friday - Nails Saturday - Podkidnoi Sunday - Perekidnoi What do you think?
It could also be a giveaway :P
The right direction. But it could be that the participants are divided into groups according to rating. For example, groups of four and the prize pool would be divided between the first in each group. Then it would be okay. However, some kind of average rating calculation should be used (60 or 90 day average) to avoid falling below the rating before the tournament starts.
This doesn't make Vint a card game portal right away. I would stick with the current version, I don't think many people would start playing the VIP list after looking at them. I also play cards more and usually do something smarter on Friday and Saturday nights. But hey, if no one complains anymore, I guess I'll be happy and change it.. PS. Ohmu is getting too utopian with his thoughts.
By the way. Not everyone is strong at card games.
I 100% share Raidop's opinion. In other words, bringing other mind games here doesn't really support the idea that we give everyone a chance to win money back. If we put chess-checkers-gomoku here, then everyone will start sponsoring the other three people, who will only pick up wins from all the checkers-chess-gomoku tournaments. However, in Podkidnois, etc., there are usually different winners and different players, and those who show great activity and also pick up second and third places, that's also a merit in winning something. Play chess as much as you want, you still won't start winning for fun - in a card game, it's possible to pick up a win with good luck even if you've figured out a few tricks. But so that my talk doesn't just sound like a rant, I suggest that we add one more area - Fischer chess, and let's see how it goes. I predict that a very narrow group will probably win there and a very narrow group will actually play it. The idea may be to entice people to engage in mind games, but it's not quite that simple.
Chess and Russian checkers could each be played once a week. The main counterargument, that a narrow circle of permanent winners will form, is of course weighty. I propose the following to level this out: differentiate the thinking times according to the current rating, i.e. that the player with the lower rating has a thinking time of 5 min. and the opponent has a shorter thinking time proportional to the difference in ratings! As a proportion for reducing the thinking time, I propose 1 minute for every 100 rating difference, while the player with the higher rating would be guaranteed at least one minute of thinking time. For example, if the rating difference is 400 units or greater, the thinking times would be 5 min and 1 min. In the case of a rating difference of 255 units, the reduction would be 2.55x60sec.=153sec, i.e. thinking times of 5 min and 2 min 27 sec.
I'm in favor, but if someone is strong in chess, they have an advantage there, I'm strong in reverse, so if chess comes, reverse should come too :P.
There could be some mind games. For example, Russian checkers and gomoku are played by many people.
Hi, The Doubling Tournament seems pretty intriguing - maybe add this tournament to the freerolls?
