Showing user location

By default, location detection should be turned off, but anyone who wants to can turn it on themselves (so that no one gets any surprises). So much inaccuracy that it used to show me 200km wrong, now it doesn't show the city at all. Pointless!
It's enough to show the flag or coat of arms of the county or city, who cares what street you're on. (But coats of arms bring togetherness and a fun fight with others.)
Wouldn't it be easiest to add a location to the profile? Then everyone would know what and how exactly they want to write there (whether it's Estonia, Europe, Tallinn or, for example, Mustamäe)...
What a thought. This automatic detection misses the KÕU and m-internet.
I've also covered about 300 km with Starman so far, so Aama's idea seems better.
*Many networks use dynamic IPs, i.e. a new IP is assigned at the beginning of each session. *The area within which the same IP may be assigned does not overlap with a city, village, or even a county. *The only website for showing location by IP address that shows my location accurately is http://www.ip-address.org/lookup/ip-locator.php, but it is not known whether it always shows the location correctly. *The accuracy of showing location by IP is ~95% at the country level, ~50% at the domestic region level. The country of location could be shown to the user, regardless of whether the user wants it. The user should agree to showing a more precise location. In any case, it should be taken into account that the result is not accurate.
But I tried in Moscow, it showed my location on Red Square, but I was actually 2 km away from there - it's not bad really.
