I was solving a 6x6 special-shaped sudoku when I had a major pause in thought. I reached the distance in the picture. Where would you put the next number? I'm curious if my sudoku thought pattern was the best.

But I would put 3 in the square 5.3 (5th from the left, 3rd from the top).

Why can't this 3 go to 4.3?

Of course, because then 3 wouldn't be able to go anywhere in the 5th column.

I put two in the third from the left and the first from the top because one wouldn't fit. It required more forethought, but it's a pretty similar idea. Although if you look at the three of them, you get the x-wing formation that I usually see.

I would also put 3 5.3 Next I would put 2 4.3

This 3 is probably the correct continuation in the R3C5 square (Row 3, Column 5), but I offer another possibility of what number to put. It's up to each person to figure out why this number goes there :)
