Good ideas don't come immediately after the game is finished. It's clear that today's rating system is not logical (ratings fluctuate from -3000 to 4000). New users don't have much motivation to start playing. Stronger users should only play with each other, etc. In short, I propose the following idea: 1) Let's reset the ratings :) There's nothing wrong with that - we've done it before in different games. 2) At the end of the game, the rating change no longer depends on the game score, but on the place, how many people remained in the game. The rating would change according to a system we're already familiar with from other games: first place would gain twice the rating from third place, the rating of second place would not change. If first and second place get equal points, both will gain a single rating from third place; if second and third place get the same score in the game, first place will gain a single rating from both of them. The tension of the game will also be maintained until the last stack: today the tension will disappear from 15 15 -30; According to the new system, the motivation to try until the end will be maintained - the winner of the game is not yet clear. For those who have played 4-player perekidnoi, the system is the same 3) A rating limit will be created on the game table (you can always create a table without a limit) - like in 4-player perekidnoi. The idea is that there is no point in players with 2000 and 1000 ratings playing at the same table - if a player with 2000 ratings wins, he will not get any more rating anyway. What do you think of the idea?

I'm actually quite happy with it..But what's the difference? The ratings fluctuate a lot, but the updates are still interesting..so on my part, etc.

I don't think that's right either...some of the golden ones have just worked hard...have also played a lot...that means there are a lot of players.that's great.but in my opinion, the makeup doesn't want there to be a lot of players and a lot of playing.then it's a mess again, there are ten guys but they can't play.in my opinion, that's stupid.let those golden ones be proud of themselves and let them stay golden,it doesn't bother anyone.the main thing is that the game happens.

This statement is wrong. This statement would only be valid with the new rating system. With today's system, a user with a rating of 4000 (the game is clear) still wins as many points from a user with a rating of -3000 (the game is not clear) as the final score in the game. With the new system, he would win 0. Skilled players would only gain additional ratings from other skilled players.

This means that the golden ones will no longer get points...so come and play the same game. Too bad about the golden ones.

In Bismarck, it's not just about strength, but also about who is a VIP. As a VIP, you can play a lot, but if you're not a VIP, you get to play a lot less. I think that no matter what the rating calculation is, the top ten tend to stay the same. New players are usually not VIPs, but there's no point in becoming a VIP just to play this game. But I don't care how the rating is calculated, I play for fun anyway.

Whether it's Bismarck, chess, discus throwing or pie baking, no one is completely clear and no one is hopelessly clueless, a very arbitrary distribution by Meikop. I have to admit that the currently functioning "stupidly simple" system works better than expected in my opinion. At least it is equal for everyone and offers the basic thing - the opportunity to play, not to pass the brains to gray. And the claim that you can play with ratings 2000 points lower than yours is nonsense. Not having the opportunity to earn extra points, but losing them in the event of a bad card run, is not very appealing. And points are important, there is no point in arguing the opposite. Yes, these points are not the most important thing in the world, but if we completely eliminate ratings, then this hall would be full of empty ones. If we had 2500 - 4000 players in the vehicle, then Meikop's idea would have some merit. I would continue with the current system, but I will also play with the new one, good luck in deciding, verywell

The ratings could be reset to zero, meaning everyone would have 1400. Keep going the old way.

the calculation could be more like this so that the score doesn't increase too quickly. I think Meikop's idea has freshness
