Mind sports pentathlon for pairs

Hello! After a break of a couple of years, the Estonian Mind Sports Association wants to continue the traditions of the pentathlon, where such mind players as Andres Kuusk, Marten Meikop, Tiit Vunk, Marek Kolk, Gert Elmaste, Eino Vaher, etc. have previously shone. Information about the competitions is available here: http://www.vint.ee/yrituse-detailid/?event=463 If someone is missing a partner, they will definitely be able to find one by communicating in Vint.
You can already start racing http://www.vint.ee/yrituse-detailid/?event=463. I'm just ordering cups and medals, I hope there won't be any left over :)
Even the legendary Andres Kuusk is not afraid of the fatigue that builds up in London and is coming to participate, it's time for others to start racing too :)
The Estonian Pentathlon Championships and the Youth Cup for pairs took place over the weekend. This time, the race for first place was particularly tight, as the first two pairs managed to collect the same number of place points at the end of the five events, and the winner was only determined by counting the medal places won in the individual events. In a tense battle, Marten Meikop and Tiit Vunk emerged as the winners! Overall: I Marten Meikop - Tiit Vunk (140p) II Marek Kolk - Ants Soosõrv (140p) III Villem Mesila - Ain Salula (130p) 4. Kalev Pagar - Ervins Veitsurs (127p) Among the youth: I Martin Hõbemägi - Kuno Kolk (123p) [5.] II Mirjam Iher - Rasmus Maide (104p) [6.] III Mai Narva - Mart Narva (101p) [7.] Winners of the singles: Sudoku: Marten Meikop - Tiit Vunk Chess: Ann Narva - Regina Narva Bridge: Mirjam Iher - Rasmus Maide Gomoku: Marek Kolk - Ants Soosõrv Checkers: Kalev Pagar - Ervins Veitsurs Winners of the singles among the youth among: Sudoku: Martin Hõbemägi - Kuno Kolk Chess: Mai Narva - Mart Narva Bridge: Mirjam Iher - Rasmus Maide Gomoku: Martin Hõbemägi - Kuno Kolk Checkers: Martin Hõbemägi - Kuno Kolk In the women's pairs category, Mimm and Lilleke did a clean job. Summary table | Sudoku | Chess | Bridge | Gomoku | Kabe Sudoku was conducted by Jaanus Laidna, bridge was organized by Vambola Kase. Many thanks also to the main organizer Ants, who breathed life back into the stagnant tradition of pentathlon and organized a great competition!
The surnames of the bridge winners/junior silver medalists have been swapped...
Sorry - error corrected.
23 pairs - very powerful! For those interested in the mental sports pentathlon, there is a tournament coming up in Tartu this year: Tartu Open. Since there have been no individual title competitions this year, if no one shows interest in organizing them, we may award the championship medals in Tartu.
Very good, Andres, when is the Tartu Open planned? I'm thinking of holding the next MV (either individual or for couples) during the Karepa mind games camp (10-18.07.), it should be a pretty big camp and I'm hoping for a larger number of participants than this time.
24 pairs would have been more powerful Andres and Marko :P
I don't have any information at the moment whether the Tartu Open is already scheduled or not. I'm trying to find out. Unfortunately, 24 pairs were not available for understandable reasons. After the devastation in London, it's logical that Marko didn't see the point in playing in pairs with such a team.
