Moving the Vint.ee gaming space to a new platform

We have moved the entire rest of the portal to the new design, there is still room for play.
The game room needs to be moved to a new platform, primarily so that it can be used on mobile. True, it somehow works on mobile today, but it's still quite inconvenient.
Plus - once we get the hang of it, we can turn the video into a real app !

We would like to inform you that we will start this work in the coming days.

This road will be long and bumpy: Most of the HTML and CSS will need to be replaced, navigation between spaces will need to be rethought, etc.

We try to do this well in small iterations: We start with the "play with the computer" dialog, then move on to other dialogs.
Once the dialogues are done, we need to work on the game rooms - the game rooms will be full-screen and can accommodate more information.

When one day the entire functionality of the gaming space is on the new platform, the final stage will come - the design of the gaming table.
Game tables will also need to be made responsive - large screens should have a larger table, etc. However, this requires converting all images to SVG.

I think this whole development will take at least half a year.

The whole point of this post is that updates are coming to the game space, not everything may work right away. We look forward to quick feedback and bug reports right here under the forum post!

But for a desktop user, does this make things much more complicated? Do I have to download some new program?

No, everything will only get better :)

I play games on my phone at work to pass the time, I keep moving the screen to see the bets being made and who I'm playing with, I have to zoom in hard.

Today we switched to a new game room by default!

We are aware that there may be problems with the new game space, and therefore we expect quick feedback from users to fix these shortcomings!

If an error occurs that directly prevents play, there is a link in the large hall that leads to the old game room.
Also - some things may be broken in the old game room now (such as direct links to game/tournament rooms) but we will focus on the bugs in the new game room first.

PS! Solving larger crosswords can be problematic in the new game space. We are working on this and therefore recommend that you still solve crosswords in the old one.

For old-timers who have problems with some of the design and functionality of the game, I recommend shutting down for half a year and then starting over, as if from a fresh start. For me, who doesn't use my phone to play, almost nothing has improved, but of course I haven't tried everything. It seems that all the other "staff" or all sorts of other information takes up even more of the screen than the game itself, compared to the old version. However, it's not always the case that the new one is better than the old one! I'll see what happens in half a year, it's still a hot summer anyway and I have to deal with water games instead. But good luck in attracting young people and foreigners to this environment. In any case, I don't recommend deleting the old version as soon as the volumes allow it - it might scare away the old players. If that's the plan, then good luck!

The old version had a game board of 400x400 pixels. The new one has 400x400 to 600x600 pixels, depending on the width of the screen. I don't see a possibility that the new board would be smaller than the old one.
