Checkers remains the most popular discipline at the Mental Sports Olympiad. This year, 580 students from 64 schools played checkers.
Primary school results
The top three belonged to Tallinna Pääsküla School. The fight for first place went on until the last stage. Kevin Kurik and Martin Zaplatin ended up with equal points (295) and both had two stage wins. Fourth place from the best gave Kevin first place overall. Third place was taken by Keity Kurik with 273 points.
There was also no question in the schools' ranking: Tallinn Pääsküla School won by a landslide.
Elementary school results
Priit Lokotar from Tallinn Pääsküla School won with a perfect score (4 out of 4 tournament wins). Emilia Kello from Kiili Gymnasium came in second with 275 points, and Gren Hõbemägi from Tallinn Old Town Educational College came in third, with 272 points.
In the school category, Tallinn Pääsküla School won.
High school results
Tõnis Käär from Nõo Secondary School won with a perfect score (4 tournament wins out of 4), Uku Gross from Gustav Adolf Secondary School came in second, and Ants Gustavson from Pärnu Koidula Secondary School came in third.
In the school category, Nõo High School of Science won.
