Hello,
This school year, 361 students from 52 schools solved sudoku puzzles. That's 25 more students than last year!
Primary school results
For the first time in the 10-year history of the competition, we are awarding two first places! Namely, Elsbet Steinberg from Tallinn Science School and Elizabeth Tamson from Pärnu Kuninga Tänava Basic School received exactly the same result: two first places, one second place and one third place. Third place was won by Marten from Pärna Tamsalu Gymnasium.
Among the schools, Tallinn Science School was the best.
Elementary school results
Kristiin Pulk from Kuressaare Education School took a clear victory (300 points). Gren Hõbemägi from Tallinn Old Town Education College came in second place. Kaisa Ollikainen from Tallinn Science School came in third.
Tallinn Science School was again the best among schools.
High school results
Hannes Sidorov from Hugo Treffner Gymnasium remained undefeated, winning three out of three tournaments. Mari Liis Freienthal from Nõo Reaalgümnaasium and Andris Pärast from Märjamaa Gymnasium received equal 282 points. The tournament win in the last stage gave Mari Liis second place overall.
In the school category, Saaremaa Gymnasium won.
Congratulations to the best and thank you everyone for participating!
Many thanks also to the world champion in solving sudoku puzzles, Tiit Vunk , who tirelessly checked all the solutions and disqualified several who violated the rules.
Named medals and trophies will be delivered to schools no later than May.
All the best,
Marten Meikop
