The Mind Sports Olympiad is over for this academic year and it's time to take stock. Today is Monday and we'll start with chess, hopefully we'll have the final results by Saturday.
This year, 598 students from 72 schools played chess . Two more schools have joined this year.
Primary school results
305 students from 43 schools played chess in primary school. This year's winner was Oskar Reinson from Tartu Private School, who won 2 stages. Second place went to Karl Seema from Tallinn Science School with 279 points.
Tormi Hansen from Tartu Tamme School came in third with 273 points.
In terms of schools, Jüri School was the best!
Elementary school results
239 students from 51 schools played chess in elementary school.
Karl Samuel Leht from Püünsi School won with three stage wins, collecting 292 points. Aaron Rajandu from Kaarli School took second place with 279 points, and Karl Kristjan Reinholm from Järveküla School came in third, collecting 278 points.
Among the schools, the best was S uure-Jaani School , represented by 12 students.
High school results
52 students from 14 schools played chess at the gymnasium.
Saveli Vassiljev from Narva Gymnasium won with a perfect score (4 out of 4 stage wins). Second place went to Romet Rebane from Pärnu Koidula Gymnasium with 285 points, and third place went to Markus Toodo from Pärnu Koidula Gymnasium with 263 points.
Narva Gymnasium won the school competition!
