The Estonian Association of Thought Sports and Vint.ee organized an online tournament between five schools in Russian checkers and chess for the first time. Although five schools were invited to both tournaments, four schools participated in Russian checkers and three in chess. 36 students participated in Russian checkers, 34 in chess. Russian checkers results: The best result in Russian checkers was achieved by Nõo Secondary School, followed by Carl Robert Jakobson Secondary School and Hugo Treffner Secondary School. Some conclusions / comments from this perspective: 1) On average, 70% of the invited schools participated in the competitions 2) There were an average of 10 participants from each school 3) At least 90% of the participants had not heard of the existence of the Estonian mental sports portal. 4) It would be wise to hold a separate (internal) tournament for each school in advance, so that students can get acquainted with the environment and school organizers (teachers / interest leaders) can understand the format of the competition (for example, the importance of vint.ee usernames). 5) In order to hold an Estonian inter-school tournament, we need to improve the software on our part. For the result to be of higher quality, the tournament should have fewer rounds (7 or 9) and a correspondingly longer time control for the game. Such a configuration option does not exist today.
