Dislike

If there's a "like" button, there could also be a "dislike" button. If there's a topic I don't like, and I don't think posting about it makes sense, it would be good if I could let you know that I don't like the topic. That way, a lot of opinions can pass us by.

World practice (facebook) shows that dislike is not IN. It is better for a post to get 0 LIKES than 10 dislikes. This way, some posters can be scared away from the forum...

There is a dislike on Youtube. Thanks to it, even Justin Bieber's video was taken down from Youtube because it had received 15 million dislikes (I heard this morning on SkyPlus). Without dislikes, the video would still be there. And I wouldn't say that Youtube is a less trendy place.

but, why take it off? then it would be like something is missing from the whole. There may be a button, but it wouldn't be worth taking anything off.

Since I became interested in who is downvoting Mind Sports Olympiad posts, I made an update: From today, all likes and dislikes are public. This has also become a standard on FB, for example. To see who liked them, click on the corresponding number at the top of the post. Users can also no longer like/dislike their own posts.
