I quickly counted my points and got 44 points the first time. Now where there may be disagreements: First of all, I assume that no points are given for the question of Mikk Pahapilli, because by the beginning of the prediction, more or less everyone knew that he would not start and the question made no sense. Second, if you carefully follow the scoring system, then when you look at the ball game questions, there is a difference in the two predictions. Namely, the Mini prediction states that a team in the foursome in the wrong place will give 1 point, but the big prediction states that only the right country in the right place will give 2 points. This question should of course be resolved by the head judge and organizer Rauing, who either intended it that way or forgot a line. However, if you look at what is written in black and white, only the right team in the right place will get points in the big one. It will probably take some time for the official results to come out, because Rauing is currently outside Estonia and will not be back before the 22nd. As for my prediction, there were still an unacceptable number of misses, it could have been a little more realistic at times, but I am very satisfied with the prediction of the discus throw result, where I was wrong by 1 cm. The 200m jumper was also good, 3 hundredths of a mistake. Ilyushchenko's final place is a tie for 15th and 16th place with Hološa. And secondly, what was 4th MR after 4*100m and M800m?
Women's 20 km walk I agree with Ilyushchenko's place sharing, there was a small snag :)
Um, and as far as I know, 8 world records were set in swimming.
Sorry again for two consecutive posts... riksman, you're not posting the result of your mini-prediction, are you okay with Mask's calculation? And I wonder where this Rauing is? I calculated Meikop's points and also got 18 like Mask, so maybe Meikop made a mistake in the calculation? This is how the sum came out (leaving out Pahapilli): 0 0 2 3 2 3 0 6 2=18. I also confirmed kuakua and TiiDu's points (also calculated by Mask), so the current mini-prediction table looks like this: 1. Riksman - 24 (calculated by Mask) 2. TiiT - 19 3. Meikop - 18 4. driv4r - 17 (calculated by driv4r), Mask - 17 6. kuakua - 15 The results calculated by one person are followed by brackets with their username. Apparently there are still no results for Rauing, siuzu, anduma, tannuma, marx and babahhi, so come on! I'd like to know my final places already ;)
If no one protests by Monday, the rickshaw driver will have won both bets and thus win 4 months of free VIP status.
No, neither prediction has a clear winner, so I don't see how we can talk about prizes. If the riksman is right, then Rauing won't be available (why?) until the 22nd and as you can see, no one is really calculating their own results, so we'll have to wait... In addition, there are still several important questions that need to be clarified (by the organizer), so yes, unfortunately we'll have to wait.
Swimming MRs: M 1500 freestyle M 100 breaststroke M 200 breaststroke N 200 backstroke N 200 breaststroke (semi-final) N 200 breaststroke (final) N 100 butterfly N 400 medley N 4*100 medley As the official website of the London Olympics states, 9 world records were set. Now I also calculated the points of my smaller prediction and got 0 2 2 3 (-) 2 4 8 2=23, how did Mask get 24? Now, as for Rauing, he is probably still making the most of the summer and hiking in the mountains somewhere in Europe, for example.
Ah, you calculate it by taking the semi-finals and finals of one competition separately, I calculated each world record as equal to the number of competitions, i.e. even if 2 world records were set in one competition, like in the women's 200-meter breaststroke. Which is the correct calculation method? First of all, the 1st of these world records (the one from the semi-final) is no longer valid, because it was broken in the final, so there are 8 currently valid... BBC Sport also lists it as 8, by the way: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19245330 (see 3rd picture). But let Rauing decide, he is still the organizer. I don't know how he got 24, but somehow he apparently did (I haven't calculated yours myself) :D Oh, if so, it makes me jealous, to be honest, but let's hope he finds some time to wrap up the competition soon ;)
Well, if the MR is re-run a week after the Olympics, then one of the world records set at the Olympics is not counted. The fact that the world record was renewed twice in one area still means that the world record was set twice. The television commentators said 9, the 9 times are marked WR on the official OM website and 9 is also stated in the articles on the official OM website. As far as I know, it has always been counted that way. On the BBC website, it is explained separately with an asterisk that final records are counted in this calculation, but this is a kind of table, and it also includes areas where world top results (i.e. non-awarded) are counted, not world records.
