Now the new client is also available in the vint.ee environment: http://www.vint.ee/uus-klient/ At the moment we cannot officially open it yet because it does not work with IE10. Some other shortcomings: 1) No sounds 2) Invitation windows are not modal (the invitation window is only visible when the game room is in front of you). You can investigate and let us know what you think.

IE10 issue resolved: My IE was running "Compatibility Views". How to uncheck this box is explained here: http://www.sitepoint.com/enable-ie10-intranet-browsing/. I'm removing the applets for these three games, please let me know in this forum if something is seriously wrong.

So, I'm trying out Vint.ee 2.0 here and my first impression is so-so. First of all, I have to mention that I've only tried Sudoku. The good sides are the updated look (although there's too much white) and the user interface in general, especially convenient and fast opening and switching game rooms, general clarity, as well as a nice large and clear Sudoku grid. The bad features are also related to the UI: 1) the solving time of duels is not shown and you only see who won; 2) when solving alone, you see the solving time at the end, but not during the solving (you see the limit, but it's not quite that); 3) in the room, both messages and chat are seen with exactly the same text color and thickness, so it's not good to distinguish, especially how much is being solved; example (these 2 lines are exactly the same font, size and thickness, except for the username): park chair started solving 9x9 irregular sudoku (medium) sudoku. shadow009: driv4r, gomokut maybe? At first, I was under the impression that I couldn't delete numbers one by one, but it turned out that I could use 0 for this, which is (at least initially) very unusual.

It seems very comfortable. I like it anyway.

More problems... It seems that the daily results can no longer be refreshed without refreshing the entire page. Previously, you could simply click the 'Show Results' button to refresh the results.

We've uploaded a new version. Changes include: * the "backspace" or delete button on the sudoku board now works as it did before: it clears the square, not takes you back to the previous page; * chat messages are grayed out; * newsreaders are prohibited from telling stories (as they always have); * added Lines of Action; * sudoku daily cover update now works; * various minor fixes. Yes, we had a more general problem.

So, in this case, more feedback! First of all, in general, and then about using it on a smart phone (i.e. smartphone). The pluses are that some of the problems I mentioned have been resolved! ;) Disadvantages in sudoku: *Backspace really works now when deleting, but the space bar could also work, which would be much more convenient (at least for me); *While solving, you still can't see the time spent solving (I haven't managed to get anyone to the duel, so I can't say about the duel time, but I assume that the problem still exists); *After solving the daily sudoku, a message appears in the area "driv4r solved 9x9 sudoku (easy) sudoku. Solution time: 02:26", so only the solver knows whether he solved the daily sudoku or a regular sudoku. The same goes for the message before starting to solve the daily sudoku. Previously, when solving daily sudokus, the message (both the previous and the following) showed that the daily sudoku was solved! *You can't watch the games of the newscasters! Previously, you could always view them. At first, I couldn't use the new Vinti at all on my smartphone (Android), because the Opera Mini browser wasn't capable of doing so. Then I tried the browser that came with the OS and that didn't work either. Then I downloaded the Opera Mobile Classic browser (special for the new Vinti!) and used it to log into the new Vinti. It goes without saying that everything was tiny on my small smartphone screen (3"), zooming helped somewhat, of course. But the main problem came out right away when I tried to solve Sudoku, namely that it's completely impossible, because there's no pop-up with a number pad or any other way to enter numbers on the screen, and you can't solve it without entering numbers. I also briefly tried Gomoku and Renju and both worked without errors, both when playing against the computer and against a person. Chat also worked normally everywhere.

So I just finished a sudo duel and the duel still doesn't show time, neither during nor after it ends.
