Done! Let me know if there are any important time checks still missing!

I couldn't find a place where I could make a new forum topic. Since it's related to time control, I'll put it here. The idea is this - it would be possible to set time controls for opponents with different ratings. You have been invited to play with time controls dozens, hundreds and thousands of times, which is not acceptable. You have probably invited opponents to the game just as many times, receiving a negative response. A very large percentage of these times have probably been inappropriate time controls for the opponent. A simple example based on myself. Let's take chess as a game. I basically only play three different variants: 5 0, 3 0 and 2 0. 90% of the challenges contain 2 at the end, and 90% of them also receive a negative response from me. But what if there was a way to preset suitable times for yourself on your profile page, for example? When an opponent starts challenging me, his time control options only include the possible variants that I have set. I think it would save a lot of time spent on "empty" and already "doomed" challenges.

Actually, there's a point in Verywell's story, but I don't know if there's a solution to this. It's unlikely that anyone will start looking at profiles before inviting them to a game to find out what time controls are suitable for someone else and what isn't. Rather, over time, some people will remember what time they play with and those doomed invitations would occur anyway. The profile would also be very colorful.

A better solution is to create a game table. You create this 2 0 table for yourself and wait for someone to sit down and start playing. The functionality to create a game table was available in Vint, but it was used very little. That's why we haven't brought it to the Vint2.0 environment yet. Should we?

You don't need to look for these times on someone else's profile, but when you start showing me a challenge, you will only have the options in the time control options that I have set :)

I don't really think that creating a table would be a better option. Because if I have, for example, 3 different time variations in chess that suit me, three in checkers and some other game, then when I come to play Vinti, I should first make a lot of game tables. If it is possible to create several game tables in one game room. Waiting for one game table can be very long, because we still have quite a few users. And you have to make these game tables every time you come to Vinti. Ps. I only post ideas here that have matured for a long time and have not lost their value over time, i.e. only worthwhile ideas :) I think that Sa Meikop read my post and put a "better" solution on the table in three seconds.

You, verywell, don't accept 2 0, 3 0 and 5 0 invitations either, why are you muddling the waters here?
raidop 2014-10-13T19:06:07+03:00
Sorry, I didn't get to the point right away. But is the difference between those two extra seconds really that big that you shouldn't play the game because of it? I'm a bit skeptical that it would find wider use, I don't have such a problem myself. Maybe I'm wrong and many people would use it. Open your mouth.

In the game rooms, it is currently possible to write in the chat window which time control you want to play with. For example: "I want to play 2 0, 3 0 or 5 0". Anyone who reads such a message (or is currently in the game room) and wants to play with even one of the proposed time controls can challenge the person who wrote the message. In other words, the "solution" offered by verywell does not add anything to the already existing working system. Verywell, things get better as they mature or retain their value only in a good environment. Your arrogant, arrogant ideas do not accumulate value.
