posted by Meikop
posted by Meikop There will be 12 tournaments (on Sundays) over 12 weeks. For example, at 19:00. The approximate duration of all tournaments is 1 hour. So 3 tournaments in each game. In each tournament, players receive place points and these place points are added together in the overall standings.
The only drawback is that some may not be lucky enough to be able to take part in all of them. A better option would be to have 4x4 tournaments and the top 3 will count!? Or would it be too long?

If only the top three are counted, then there could be a terrible pallu raffle with the same points for first place. This should also be fixed as the players with the same points in the overall score, which is used to determine the best

In normal practice, the one with the most points for higher place gets the better result.

Cash prizes and betting, buying credit (isn't that considered gambling?) Because in another place they didn't dare to give cash prizes. Just out of interest.

This competition "Best Card Player in Estonia" is not included, because participation is free.

At the same time, you could also have, for example, checkers and chess championships, they could be held together and somehow the points would be calculated together, e.g. place points then.

Having played enough tournaments myself, it seems that we won't find out the best with about a dozen tournaments - the proportion of randomness is still high enough. Maybe 100 tournaments would give a sufficiently competent assessment. Maybe we should go back to the original idea - the sum of ratings mandatory 50 games in each type within two months.

The calculation could still be separate; tuhat, sasku, etc. There will be 12 tournaments (on Sundays) over 12 weeks. For example, at 19:00. For example, then 3-4 tons of tournaments and in each tournament the players will receive place points and these place points will be added up in the overall calculation. I think there are others who would only play tons or sasku, etc. Some kind of rating, mandatory 50, etc.. is still there,,, and I still stand by my position that such tournament formats are the way they are. It would still be right to have a knockout system, of course then the tournaments would be longer but why should we even have to do 10 tournaments per day.

You have to do more tournaments than you can play, for example, if you didn't play on 2 Sundays, it means you're out of the game. For example, you could do 13 tournaments and the first 10 tournaments count. That's fairer, otherwise it's something like that where some process is already put to sleep. It's still extremely crappy if, for example, I have to go to the theater, which means I didn't participate in one tournament and I'm essentially out of the game. My suggestion is that there should be more tournaments so that if you miss one, you won't be out of the competition right away.

why not do it live? would you charge a participation fee and use it to rent a place or something? would be more interesting or something like that but the majority will decide :)
