It would be great if, in addition to the regular thousand and sasku, there was also a tournament version of both games. Differences between thousand and tournament thousand: 1. In thousand, the game is played to 1000 points, in tournament thousand 1-2 hands are played in one round. 2. In the same round, the same hand is played on different tables (therefore, the tournament should have at least 2 tables). 3. In thousand, the goal is to get more points than the opponents at your table. In tournament thousand, the goal is to get more points than the players with the same cards at other tables. Based on this 3rd point, it follows that the effect of "card running" is significantly smaller in tournament thousand. You can also earn a very good result with bad cards if you get more points than other players get with these cards. In other words, the share of luck decreases, the share of skill increases. The situation is solved in exactly the same way in bridge. The current thousand is like Roberi bridge. Tournament thousand would be like tournament bridge. The implementation of this idea is certainly laborious, because there are many small details that need to be solved. * An exact thousand scoring method. If one table gets 120, 14, 0, and the other table gets 130, 16, 0, then the 120 of the first table is probably worse than the 130 of the second table. But how to compare the 0 of the first table and the 0 of the second table? In Saskus, this is not a problem, because two pairs (not 3 players) compete at the table. A better result for one pair means a bad result for the other pair. * The tournament movement schemes are more complicated than in current 2-player tournaments, where 2 players play 1 round at most. * It would be good if the card game could also be watched in a replay to see how the results were obtained. Spectating during a tournament is problematic, similar to Sudoku.

I'll break the thousand and sasku tournaments into separate topics, so we can discuss in more detail how to run these tournaments.

Can I also participate in the tournament as a spectator?

Since all tables play with the same cards, spectating the tables is not allowed.

With the advent of tournaments in this format, many people have started to forget, even while playing the same game, that there is no tournament where winning is not important. In my opinion, this comparison moment has started to lose the beauty of the game and it certainly happens a ton. Also, you really can't make at least a thousand tournaments so that the player still depends on himself (win-lose). Let the tournament be a week long and the players agree on game times among themselves, give the results to the organizer, who marks the table (if it doesn't happen automatically), the loser is eliminated, etc. Is it conceivable?
